Say That Again ๐ŸŒน

โ€œYouโ€™re an absolutely stunning, murderous little poison if you think a man like me dies that easily,โ€ he muttered, amusement clear in his voice.

She stared at him in disbelief, fingers tightening at her sides. โ€œYou seriously need help,โ€ she muttered under her breath. His grin returned instantly.
โ€œAnd yet here you are following me.โ€ she rolled her eyes in annoyance..

As he quietly followed behind him, trying not to draw attention to herself, but it was impossible not to notice the looks his men kept throwing at them. Confused stares, raised eyebrows, silent questions written all over their faces like they were dying to know what exactly was going on.
Meanwhile, he kept walking ahead with both hands in his pockets, casually whistling to himself like none of this concerned him at all.

โ€œUmm... boss?โ€ one of the men finally spoke up carefully. โ€œAre you taking this girl with you?โ€
He stopped mid-step. The interruption alone seemed to annoy him. Slowly turning his head toward the man, he gave him a flat look before speaking.
โ€œYes.โ€
Then his eyes briefly shifted toward her.
โ€œSheโ€™s my headache now.โ€ he sighed dramatically...

What did she get herself into? The same thought had already crossed her mind hundreds of times. How did this happen? What was going to happen to her now? Would she ever be able to leave this hell? Then a voice suddenly pulled her back to reality.
โ€œGet inside, little poison.โ€
His voice came out louder this time, clearly irritated. This definitely wasnโ€™t the first time he had called for her attention.

She quickly shook her head, fingers tightening around the torn fabric of her dress. Whatever was waiting for her next, she had no choice but to face it.
Letting out a quiet sigh, she finally stepped inside his Bentley.

She hissed as pain shot through her thigh, the cut still burning badly.
โ€œHere. Open it. Youโ€™ll find first aid or whatever itโ€™s called,โ€ he spoke while driving, not even bothering to look at her. She stared at him for a second, clearly judging him. He definitely didnโ€™t look like someone who kept a first aid kit in his car.
He noticed the look immediately and rolled his eyes.
โ€œMaan put it there, alright?โ€ he muttered in annoyance. โ€œThat bastard...โ€

For a second, he clicked his tongue before continuing.
โ€œMy best friend. The only person Iโ€™d probably kill and die for, but never agree with.โ€
His grip tightened slightly around the steering wheel.
โ€œThat bastard cares more about me than he shows,โ€ he added, she can feel his voice quieter this time, the irritation in it softening slightly.

With hesitation, she grabbed the kit. Using cotton and antiseptic, she carefully cleaned the cut with complete focus before applying ointment and wrapping a bandage around it. She could feel his gaze on her the entire time.
When she looked up, she caught him squinting at her suspiciously.
โ€œWhoa... you sure bandage like a professional,โ€ he said while watching her.
โ€œIโ€™m a medical student,โ€ she replied with a small eye roll. The moment the words left her mouth, the car suddenly came to a halt.

She looked at him in confusion.
โ€œYou... youโ€™re telling me youโ€™re basically a doctor, and you still left me injured that night?โ€ He looked more hurt than shocked.
โ€œExcuse me?โ€ she snapped, staring at him in disbelief. โ€œWhy would I save you, huh? You werenโ€™t the victim. I was literally being kidnapped here. I was trying to save my own life, and you expected me to help you?โ€
Her teeth clenched slightly, clearly irritated by his audacity.

She could hear him mumbling something to himself while starting the car again.
Quietly, she scanned her surroundings with a small frown on her face. Everywhere she looked, there was nothing but vast forest. Thick trees. Endless darkness.
And beneath it all, she could hear the sound of water crashing against the shore.

This had to be an island. She was sure of it.
Her mind immediately started calculating again. It had been six days since she was brought here. She faintly remembered arriving with the other girls before everything became a blur. Now, all she could think about was escape.
Calculate Routes. Distance and Direction.

โ€œNow that I remember something,โ€ his voice suddenly cut through the sound of rustling leaves and her thoughts. โ€œMy men said they found you near the mansion.. when you clearly ran in the opposite direction after leaving me injured, of course.โ€ he lets out a tired sigh.

She immediately looked away, pretending to focus outside again.
A slow grin spread across his face.
โ€œDonโ€™t tell me...โ€ he started, amusement already obvious in his voice. โ€œYou got lost that night and accidentally ended up near the mansion?โ€

He actually laughed this time, loud and completely entertained by his own conclusion.
She felt her cheeks burn from embarrassment.
โ€œThatโ€™s not true at all,โ€ she snapped through clenched teeth. โ€œI was injured and barely able to walk.โ€ Her voice came out firm, trying hard to sound believable.
โ€œLittle poison...โ€ his voice softened slightly this time, sounding more curious than teasing.
โ€œYouโ€™re not very good with directions, are you?โ€

โ€œFor someone who kidnapped people for a living, you talked way too much.โ€ her voice came out sharp..
She watches his eyes gets darker, veins pops on steering wheel.
โ€œSay that again, little poison.โ€
Her throat went dry for a second. Not because she was scared, but because of the sudden shift in his voice.
The teasing was gone completely.
Now he sounded like the same dangerous man she had first met in the woods.

โ€œEkagra Rajwardhan isnโ€™t just a name, it's a legacy.โ€ he said quietly, eyes still fixed on the road ahead.
โ€œIt comes with responsibilities, businesses, people... things you wouldnโ€™t understand.โ€
His jaw tightened slightly.
โ€œAnd for your information, little poison...โ€ his voice dropped lower this time.
โ€œI donโ€™t just go around kidnapping random people.โ€ he muttered darkly..

โ€œIโ€™d advise you to choose your next words very carefully, little poison,โ€ he said quietly.
โ€œBecause the only person Iโ€™m afraid of... is myself.โ€
A low laugh escaped him before he shook his head slightly.
โ€œThat fucker is insane.โ€

โ€œCโ€™mon... weโ€™re here. Come out.โ€
She blinked a few times before finally realizing they had stopped. Without wasting another second, she stepped out of the car. For a moment, she just stared at the vast property in front of her.
โ€œThis is not the pla...โ€
โ€œYes,โ€ he cut her off casually. โ€œThis isnโ€™t the place I brought you to that day.โ€ A slow grin appeared on his face as he looked up at the massive mansion ahead.

โ€œThis...โ€ his voice lowered slightly, almost amused. โ€œThis is the Mansion of Vipers.โ€
There was something strange about the way he said it. Pride mixed with something darker. Just like him.
Her eyes slowly moved across the mansion again, something about it felt wrong. Dangerous.
Her instincts were practically screaming at her that following him here had been a terrible idea.

โ€œThis place is only for elites. or maniacs,โ€ he continued with a smirk. โ€œYouโ€™re probably the only hellfire standing here right now.โ€
Then his eyes shifted toward her.
โ€œLetโ€™s see how long you survive, little poison.โ€
A chill ran down her spine..
โ€œThis place is dangerous.โ€ she whispered without thinking. His expression changed instantly.
โ€œThen hold on tighter,โ€ he said quietly, staring directly at her with those dark eyes.
โ€œBecause this is only the beginning.โ€
Only after the words left his mouth did she realize she had spoken her thoughts out loud.
